What is Scrip?

Gift card fundraising, also known as Scrip fundraising, is a program that allows you to pay for everyday purchases using gift cards in place of cash, checks, and credit cards. Money generated by the program goes directly to MCC Richmond.

How it works

With gift cards purchased through RaiseRight, MCC Richmond earns money when you shop for your favorite brands—turning daily or weekly purchases into the opportunities that matter for the church.


RaiseRight offers some of the country’s biggest brands, including grocery, department stores, gas stations, restaurants, hotels, home improvement, and more.  MCC Richmond receives an average of 6% on each gift card purchased through RaiseRight, so no matter your taste or budget, you can make an impact.

 

Just by using scrip to pay for your normal weekly purchases, you can raise more than $1,000 or per year. Put your shopping dollars to work for the church!

If You Are New: Enroll With MCC Richmond

  1. Create a RaiseRight® account. Go to www.raiseright.com/enroll

  2. Find the section labeled "Join an Existing Program".

  3. Enter the Enrollment Code: 836F74623534L.  This is MCC Richmond's unique organization code and allows the RaiseRight system to link your account activity to fundraise with us.

  4. Next, fill in all the required information.  You will be asked to give your name and e-mail, create a password, and select two challenge questions and provide answers, which will be required if you forget your password. Keep in mind that your answers are case-sensitive.

More Information

  • RaiseRight has the ability to shop using a credit card or bank withdrawal to pay for gift card orders.

​

  • You should only purchase cards that offer e-gift cards or "ship to home". 
    Many of the companies offer these e-gift cards and “ship to home” options.  The church is no longer brokering physical cards or being an intermediary, so please choose an e-gift card or ship-to-home option.

​

  • E-gift cards can be printed at home, downloaded to your phone for immediate use or sent as a gift. Ship to home means the cards will be shipped directly to you.

​

  • If you already have an account all you need to do is sign in @ RaiseRight.com or on the RaiseRight app.

​

  • If you have the app, you can purchase and download the e-card to your phone or tablet and use it immediately.
